Setting Goals Is It Important Or Not?

Goals are things you plan to achieve in your lifetime & in order to set goals for yourself but you must first know what it is you want to achieve then you need write them down. If you don’t have a clear vision of your written goals then you will become unfocused lost & confused so again you want to be direct as to what it is you plan to accomplish in your life. It amazes me sometimes how there are people living in today’s world w/o any direction as to what it is they want to out of life & if you think about it that can be a very scary situation. So setting goals is very important in life because it gives you direction on where your headed in the future.

SETTING APPROPIATE GOALS

Short Term Goals: Goals you plan on achieving soon or within a short period of time.

1.  Reading A Book

2.  Writing Out Your Schedule For The Next Day Or Week

3.  Listening To A CD

Mid Term Goals: Goals you plan on achieving within a few days or weeks.

1.  Working on a project

2.  Going to the grocery store

3.  Getting your hair done

4.  Getting an oil change

Long Term Goals: Goals you plan on achieving within months or years.

1. Reading 15 books this summer

2. Traveling on your vacation days

3. Becoming an entrepreneur

4. Earning money to invest in something

When setting your goals you always want to analyze them. Goals do not occur in isolation besides most people have many different goals in their lives so you need to figure out how to set priorities & still reach different goals. While doing these activities you may not be working hard enough to reach them so in order to help analyze your goals it is very important to ask yourself 2 questions:

1. Do you have any goals that are in conflict?

2. Will pursuing one goal prevent or make it difficult to reach another goal?

If one of your goals is to earn a six figure income as an entrepreneur & the other one is to go to college & earn a degree then you may have a goal conflict. In case of a goal conflict they you really need to keep one goal & maybe delete the other one & if there is no evidence that you are committed to achieving a goal then maybe you should delete that goal to. We all have goals that we say we want, but most aren’t working hard enough to achieve them & these goals turn into just wishes or dreams. You must be willing to work hard enough towards achieving the goals you have set. Dreams are great & fun but dreams usually do not push most people to action.

Always remember when setting your goals they should be realistic & attainable. When you set goals for yourself that’s just one step the next step is actually taking action & well that’s a different story. Because there are people out here who set goals & never take action. What are some of your goals for the short & long term? Give some feedback I would love for you to share.

Changing Your Attitude

Sometimes a negative attitude can bring you down but I’m gonna share with you today some things you can do to improve you attitude right now.

2. There Are Reasons Behind Everything

If you begin to look at all the challenges your dealing with I can assure you that they are happening for a reason you just basically have to learn how to face them & deal with them from a different perspective than what you maybe be used to. If you practice having a positive reaction to things then your total mindset will definitely change eventually to where you won’t deal with things in a negative way anymore.

Exercise is very stimulating to the mind plus it helps
keep you in shape & it helps you control your appetite along with eating healthy. If you make exercise a part of your daily routine you’ll begin to look & feel better about yourself which is also very important.

4. Reward Yourself

Its the small things that make a big difference even though I must admit we may not always realize it. So when you accomplish something reward or treat yourself to something nice & you don’t have to spend a lot of money doing it.

5. Inspiration

You should always be reading or listening to something inspirational esp. while driving this is very stimulating to the mind & can help with as far as dealing with others attitudes & mood swings on a day to day basis.

Laughing releases certain brain chemicals & its usually keeps negative thoughts away at least for the moment.

Everybody is an amazing person & we should respect each other & try to have & keep a positive mindset no matter what if we did this everyday then the world would definitely be an easier & better place to live in.
